Koivurannan Lomamökit is family owned business, which is located in the real Finnish countryside, in Mikkeli in the Finland. We offer seven unique lakeside cottages for rent. Cottages are great places to enjoy the peace of Finnish nature and beautiful views of the lake.
Cottages are all unique, so you can choose the best alternative for your individual needs. Some of the cottages are bigger and excellent for family trips and some smaller cottages are excellent getaway destinations for two. There are six cottages available throughout the year and one of the cottages is for summer use. Every cottage does have their own swimming beach, a separate sauna building and a rowing boat. Most cottages even have two different saunas, so you can enjoy this Finnish tradition. After the sauna it is easy to go swimming to the lake, in wintertime an ice hole is also possible, if you are brave enough to try ice swimming. There are excellent possibilities to collect berries and mushrooms in the forests nearby. Lake Kyyvesi is excellent for fishing; lots of pike and zanders live in there. In the winter we operate a skiing track around the farm. A sledding hill near the barbeque hut is also open for use.
In addition to cottage rental, Koivurannan Lomamökit is a Finnish farm. They farm Finncattle, which are the original cows of Finland.
Finncattle has adapted to the climate and conditions of Finland excellently. During summer cows pasture in the forest and take care of the
traditional Finnish landscape. Three of the cottages are located next to the areas where cows pasture. If desired, you are shown how to
shepherd the cattle. During summer, hens wander around the farm and the farm's cats will be more than happy to say hello.
All of the cottages have been named after Finnish nature, for example cottage Koivu, Kielo and Mänty are in english birch, lily and pine. Finnish nature is everywhere at the Koivurannan Lomamökit. Cottages have amazing lake views, nearby forest, fresh air and silence. Cottages are quality and there are all amenities.You can also set a fire to the fireplace in the living room to create a warmer atmosphere. Each of the cottages have their own separate lakeside sauna, and all of them have WLAN. Except for cottage Pajunkissa, which is available only summertime, there is a well equipped kitchen (a fridge (+ freezer), an electric stove, an electric kettle + a coffee maker, a microwave and a dishwasher)and bathroom at every cottages.

Koivu is a spacious and an exclusive cottage right alongside the lake. There are two twin bed bedrooms and two single beds upstairs. Try both the indoor electric sauna, and the wooden sauna in a separate building!A spacious living room right next to a well-equipped kitchen creates an open concept feel to the cottage. Set a fire to the fireplace in the living room to create a warmer atmosphere.

The cozy feeling of Mänty is incomparable due to its warm colouring on interior design. Enjoy the wooden heated saunas both inside and in a separate building outside. Two bedrooms and the open space upstairs have six beds in total. Fully equipped kitchen, toilets and a shower. The separate building outside also has a small terrace and a cute little space to hang out next to the sauna.

Kataja is compact but very homey. There is one berdroom with a twin bed + three separate beds upstairs in an open space. During summer a separate building outside offers a private place to sleep (beds for two). There is a beautiful yard right between the cottage and the lake to hang out and maybe eat outside under birch trees. Grilling area included!

Pihlaja is built in 1930 originally to be the main building of the farm. It’s been renovated in 2011. It is located right next to the owners’ home, the barn and the pasture. Our cats wander around the farm and are curious to meet you as well. Pihlaja has two bedrooms with double beds in both. In addition there are two beds in upstairs free to use during summertime. There is a spacious yard and a summer kitchen building in it. Also down the hill you’ll find a small beach of your own with a small building, a sauna, grills for cooking and a rowing boat.

Kotkanpesä is the most different from the other cottages due to the surrounding environment. The cottage and two separate sauna buildings are built on top of a gorgeous platform structure that lays on a cliff. The rocky stairs and the height dirrerences create a special luxurious feeling to the cottage itself. There is a bedroom with a double bed, two separate beds in an open space upstairs + during summer a small separate cabin building for two.

Cottage Kielo has amazing lakeviews from the windows of the cottage. There are two bedrooms, combined living room and the kitchen. There are both indoor and outdoor saunas.
Pajunkissa is only in use during summertime. Heated with elctricity and additionally with fireplace. In Pajukissa you`ll find the most essential kitchen features; a fridge, a microwave , electricstove , coffemaker. There is one small bedroom inside cottage and separate cabin for two.
